Total POI Count Update: Including Yelp Data Integration in AlphaMap

As of today, AlphaMap has 17.2 million POIs, with potential for further growth. However, expanding the POI count is currently a lower priority due to other high-impact projects on our engineering roadmap.

Why Increasing POI Count Is Not the Focus

AlphaMap already stands out for its unparalleled coverage in TenantFinder. Competitors typically have between 3,000 and 6,000 locations in their brand databases, all focused solely on retail. In contrast, AlphaMap boasts over 41,000 locations across various categories. This comprehensive coverage ensures that our users have access to significantly more data than is available elsewhere.

Future Plans

The integration of additional data sources, such as Yelp, is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the platform. However, our primary focus remains on delivering other improvements that will provide greater value to users in the near term.
